And In The End: Giants 3, Rangers 1

And in the end,

The love you take

Is equal to the love you make.

-The Beatles

Congratulations to the San Francisco Giants, World Series Champions of 2010.

If there’s one thing that I can continue to be happy about for the rest of my life, it is that the deciding game of the World Series occured at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.

Congratulations to the Texas Rangers for going further in 2010 than any of us expected. A division title? We thought it was within reach. The World Series? Don’t think it was on the radar for most of us.

I’ve shared my love of the Rangers all season long. They returned that love to me in spades!

More later after I decompress.

Your guys put up a good fight.

I’ll be watching out for the firecrackers and other stuff going out tonight. Still, congratulations on the AL Pennant, something similar (the NL Pennant) which I’ve been around for three times in my official lifetime (’62, ’89, 2002).

While I hated to see the celebration occur in our ballpark, bornagaingiantsfan, I’m glad San Francisco finally gets to see a Championship flag flying for the first time. I just hope it’s us next time!

To the end the Claw and Antler bunch tried to bring a victory out for the hometown crowd.
Watching another team celebrate on your turf is hard, but it can also burn a scene into the player’s mind and set a goal at that moment, not in the Spring of 2011.
The Rangers have as good a chance as anyone in the American League to get back to that spot….and I think last night made more than a few of them hungry for another taste.
Two banners will rise in Arlington,Texas in April 2011….One a AL West title banner, and the other a American League pennant flag……28 other teams wish they were that lucky!

Thanks for the kind words, Renegade and for being one of my earliest followers. It was sad to lose, but to see a World Series game in Arlington for the first time was worth it! Hope you’ll be back following along in 2011!

Getting a compliment from a Yankees fan is as about as high a compliment as one can get! Thanks for the kind words, but I still hope we beat you out in getting Cliff Lee!
